New Business Venture - Artistic Ripples is coming soon!

I have been working hard getting ready to launch Artistic Ripples!  I am so excited  about a new product that is NOT vinyl but is safer and better.  This material is PVC free and repositionable up to 50 times! It will stick on walls, refrigerators, mirrors, brick, wood, textured walls, lockers, phones, computers, and more!

I am now able to put your favorite pictures on this amazing fabric so you can stick it anywhere without it leaving any residue.  As soon as I started working with this material, I fell in love!  I am building up a library of iPhone skins that can be personalized, customized photos, and my new project, the "Modesty Mirror" decal set!

I promise I will have more information soon!  Along with using this product for indoor use, I am also providing indoor/outdoor vinyl designs for your home and office!  Check out some of my pictures!  If there is something that you are interested in, or would like more information, please message me at allison@lifeintheripples.com.

In Our Home

Several months ago I was cruising through Pinterest and pinned a vinyl wall decal 'pledge' (for lack of a better word) that I absolutely loved.  It started with "In this house...we do...".  I finally have the ability to design and cut out wall decals on my own and this was my first project.  I wanted to change the 'in this house' to 'in our home' for obvious reasons.  Adam also really wanted the word 'honor' to be included.  So I got to work redesigning it to suit our preferences.  I loved how this turned out!

More than that, I love that I am now able to take our kids to the wall and read through it as a reminder when they are in need of discipline, forgiveness and reassurance.  All of these things are taught with words but for a child to truly understand it has to be put into practice.  Today, one of the kids had said some mean things to another child and it was so neat to read through it.  Yes, they had made a mistake...yes, they needed to be forgiven...yes, they were being given a second chance.  But also to point out their mistake did not honor others or show others love.  Every person living under this roof has been guilty of or needed each thing mentioned on our wall.  That reminds us daily of why we are all in need of grace and why we are all called to extend grace to others.  (please excuse the laundry pile in the background of the picture...I thought about cropping it out, but that wouldn't be 'being REAL')

Bouncy Balls

This week we made bouncy balls!  My stepson, Caleb, LOVES balls.  You will often find him running around the house with one or two in his hands.  We don't let him take naps or go to bed at night with them so he puts them in a safe place and the first thing (I mean FIRST thing) he does is gets them back out when we tell him it is get up time.  No hugs, kisses, or conversation...he is on a mission.  So I thought it would be fun to make bouncy balls.  They didn't turn out to bounce near as high as I had hoped.  I told the kids we may retry this one...there were no complaints there.  Either way, we all had a blast making them together :-)...Emma and Carly chose to make theirs red, Caleb wanted green, and Sara chose blue.  This was a super fun activity!
